Regular attendance is vital to student progress and group choreography. Please make every effort to attend each class and notify us via email (frontdesk@arkcitydance.com) of any absences as soon as possible.

Students may make up missed classes within 30 days of the absence. There will be a list of which classes students can attend for a make-up based off the age, level, and class. Please visit with Jennifer or Bethany to further discuss the acceptable classes for make ups.

Class level is determined by the age of the student as well as their ability. Some levels are more difficult for students than others and it is not uncommon for a student to remain in a given level for more more than one season. Approximate ages are listed for each class, but our faculty does their best to make an appropriate class level placement for each student.

Nearly all communication to our dance families is done through the BAND app, so it is vital that you join in order to be up to date on everything. If you are not currently a member of the group please email frontdesk@arkcitydance.com. This email can be used for any other questions you may have as well.

Please make sure that your child is not to the studio any more than 10 minutes before their scheduled dance time unless you have prior arrangements made and approved by us.

Please pick up your dancer on time. We realize that sometimes circumstances are out of your control. Please also don’t assume that there are classes after your child’s ends so it is ok for them to just “hang out”. You never know if we have cancelled or changed class times. We also have many teachers that live out of town and younger drivers. Everybody wants to get home for the evening and we want everybody safe.

A $25 courtesy charge may be incurred if a staff member has to watch your child longer than 10 minutes before or after a class.

Dancers should be prepared for each class and dressed in appropriate clothing or dancewear. Hair should also be out of the student’s face so there are no distractions during class.

If you are unsure of what shoe is needed for your class, please reach out to our faculty. We offer shoe sizing at the studio and would love to get your dancer fitted for the perfect shoe. If you have not already discussed this, please email frontdesk@arkcitydance.com to get scheduled. Shoes can also be purchased online with Discount Dance or at Attitudes Dancewear in Wichita.
