WHAT ALL DO THEY DO IN NYC?

Every few years we have a group that attends the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade to perform with Spirit of America Productions. While there, they have long rehearsals every single day. It is a difficult yet rewarding process, and we are proud to have so many dancers represent us in the parade.

What all activities do they participate in?

Aside from the parade and rehearsals, they have the opportunity to attend the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular, see a Broadway show, see the Empire State Building, walk around Times Square, ride the NYC Subway, take a Statue of Liberty Harbor Cruise, and go shopping at one of the largest department stores (with a total of 11 floors) -Macy's!

How long are they in New York?

They are there for approximately one week. This means they have less than a week for all of their rehearsals which consist of over 500 dancers!

Have the dancers ever met someone famous while in NYC?

Believe it or not, they sure have. We have had families bump into Steve Carell (actor), as well as meet Carly Rae Jepsen (singer/songwriter) and get serenaded by Prince Royce (singer/songwriter). You never know who you'll see in the Big Apple!
